Job description
The NX Programmer works with manufacturing engineering in developing, evaluating, and improving production processing methods in manufacturing to achieve operational excellence with a primary emphasis on programming a wide variety of CNC equipment. Works in conjunction with manufacturing engineering on recommending and implementing operational sequences, equipment utilization and tooling improvements and efficiencies to ensure cost, quality and operational objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs for various types of machines.
• Ability to program 2,3, 4, and 5 axis Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers and both Horizontal and Vertical lathes.
• Broad understanding of machining technologies and processes.
• Direct experience with, Fanuc and Okuma controls, knowledge of Toshiba control is desirable.
• Ability to program complex parts from both a solid model and blueprints.
• Experience using NX CAD/CAM system, working knowledge of EdgeCam software desirable.
• Generate custom probing cycles and other in process systems to improve productivity.
• Evaluates program cycle time against estimates and standards to assure cost targets are met.
• Work with process engineers and machine operators to ensure manufacture of parts meeting all technical and quality requirements.
• Select appropriate cutting tools to use along with the speeds and feeds.
• Have a good working knowledge of GD&T.
• Assisting machinists with set up, part, and inspection, questions.
• Create tool sheets and set up instructions for CNC Programs.
• Assists in the evaluation and development of manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Analyzes and solves process and tool-related problems, ensuring or increasing productivity.
• Performs all work in a manner that ensures safety of self and others.
• Leverages continuous improvement tools to drive improvements.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to MB Aerospace’s internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Job Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates / Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field a plus.
• 5 years minimum NX CAM experience on complex component parts programming, experience in an aerospace materials and environment is preferred.
• Proficient in working with G and M codes on the control.
• Macro programming knowledge is desirable.
• Can work with configuration files and Siemens software to develop scripts for engineering productivity.
• Can work with Vericut to validate programs offline.
• Experience in developing and validating post processors highly desirable.
• Experienced in working with and developing 3D solid models.
• Proficient with reading engineering drawings and familiarity with GD&T
• Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement

Job Description
The CNC Programmer’s (Programmer) main task is to Develop, implement and maintain processes and programming for NC/CNC machining operations for complex details and assembly configurations for gas turbine engine components by performing the duties noted below. Must possess the ability to troubleshoot programs on the shop floor and be comfortable in a manufacturing environment.

This position sits in Warren, MI and will report to the Programming Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• CNC Programmer will use CAD/CAM software systems such as NX (Unigraphics), Edgecam, and Vericut to create CNC programs for vertical and horizontal CNC lathes and multi-axis CNC milling machines
• Experience with NX and Solidworks or similar CAD software is necessary
• Duties include developing programs in a timely manner to support production, specifying tooling, resolving shop machining issues, and monitoring active jobs
• Select appropriate cutting tools and associated speeds and feeds to meet both quality and cycle time targets
• Knowledge of Machining G & M Code necessary
• Knowledge of GD&T necessary
• General Understanding of CNC Machine Operation/Setup is recommended
• Assist in the compiling of data to support quotations.

Job Description
This position is responsible for the directing and implementing of NDT personnel training, qualifications, and certifications in Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI or PT) and Radiographic (X-Ray or RT) inspection methods in accordance with MB Aerospace Warren procedures and any additional customer specifications or requirements. This position functions as both the Responsible Level 3 and as a technical level 3 for both methods listed above (PT and RT)

This position sits in Warren, MI and will report to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s).
• Assume technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
• Selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection in the certified method.
• Preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
• Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
• Providing/directing training and examination for the qualification and certification of personnel.
• Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination.
• When required by the written practice, audit outside agencies to ensure the requirements of the written practice are met.
• Be available to support production with any technical issues related to the process.
• Evaluate and document process changes and obtaining customer approval, when required.
• Assure the proper sequencing prior to processing.
• Perform Annual NDT Internal Audits along with Quality System audits and when required by the written practice. The applicable NADCAP Audit Checklists (AC 7114, AC7114/S, AC7114/1, AC7114/1S, AC7114/4 and AC 7114/4S) will be used to perform this task related to NDT.
• Review of the NDT inspection process, and the associated documentation.
• Lead in preparation and hosting of NDT Nadcap Audits
• Personnel certification records.
• Maintaining and updating NDT procedure(s).
• Maintain NDT equipment.
• Reviewing and implementing upcoming changes to the NDT methods across the industry
• Identifying and assuring implementation of customers NDT requirements for:
- Review of NDT requirements.
- Sequence of NDT operations.

Job Requirements:

Job Description
The basic function of the Repair Cell Welder position is to weld & fabricate Stainless Steel, Inconel, Cobalt, and Titanium Engine Components. This individual will use manual Tig welding, Semi-auto Tig welding, and Brazing equipment to join metal components or seams of fabricated aerospace parts to customer specification. Must have sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items to make minor modifications if necessary. May perform some trouble-shooting and rework of production items. Must be able to work from complex and detailed blueprints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.

This position will be in our East Granby, CT facility and report to the Fabrication Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal.
• Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements.
• Set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions
• using complicated weld fixtures and weld positioner (turntable)
• Dimensionally inspects welds and other characteristics of parts being welded using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges.
• Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects. Tags any non-conforming parts with re-work labels
• Work outside department as required
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times
• Follow all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Job Requirements

• Certification in GTAW; AWS D17.1; PWA 16 (in any group material)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline required and 5+ years in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing.

• Possesses interpersonal skills that allow for successful interaction with various employees, including acting in leadership roles on teams and other projects.

Job Requirements

• Associate Degree of Applied Science in NDT - The classroom training for the applicable test method and level of certification needed must meet the minimum required per NAS-410
• 4 years work experience in the NDT method(s) and manufacturing processes; certified Level 2 is preferred.
• Employee must have the skills and formal training needed to become certified to NAS 410 level 2 in radiography testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) and be able to pass an annual eye examination per the requirements of NAS 410.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of NDT theory, methods and procedures, and should have knowledge of NDT technologies, computer systems and conventional and automated testing systems.
• Make and keep precise measurements and keep accurate records.
• Must be able to take instructions and offer advice. The ability to work well with supervising engineers, other technicians, and mechanics is essential because technicians interact with people from other divisions, businesses, and customers.
• Experience applying principles of mathematics for analysis, design, and troubleshooting tasks in their work.

Job Description:

The basic function of the TIG Welder position is to weld & fabricate very thin Stainless Steel, Chromoly, Inconel, Aluminum, and Titanium Engine Components. This individual will use hand-welding equipment to join metal components or seams of fabricated aerospace parts to customer specification. Must have sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items to make minor modifications if necessary. May perform some trouble-shooting and rework of production items. Must be able to work from complex and detailed blueprints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
This position will also be responsible for EB Weld operations, cross training will be provided for the right candidate. The EB Welder performs Electro Beam Welding in accordance with internal work instructions, applicable specifications and weld schedules.
This position will be in our Warren, MI facility and report to the Operations Weld Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal.
• Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements.
• Set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions
• using complicated weld fixtures and weld positioner (turntable)
• Dimensionally inspects welds and other characteristics of parts being welded using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges.
• Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects. Tags any non-conforming parts with re-work labels
• Work outside department as required, primarily in belt and hand grinding
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times
• Follow all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment
