The Cost Accountant is responsible for assisting in all facets of financial job costing operations, including the monthly close cycle, financial reporting standards, internal controls, accuracy of Job Costing and Analysis.

This position sits in Sterling Heights, MI and will report to the Finance Controller.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for maintaining current costing system and developing Improvements.
• Significant responsibility in the company’s general ledger close processes, including, but not limited to the preparation of required journal entries, variance and margin analysis, GL reconciliations and supporting schedules, and financial analysis.
• Comprehend and analyze materials, labor and overhead, as well as standard/actual costs and inventory.
• Validate the cost of goods sold for the month-end close and balance Inventory to the General Ledger. Analyze margins and variances
• Work with the Management Team to locate and address Obsolete Inventory and LCM Reserves.
• Provide timely historical financial results and analysis to support business decisions.
• Produce, report and track daily KPIs and assist in using these numbers to drive improvements.
• Lead analytical and process improvement special projects as assigned.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the general accounting function.
• Assist process improvement initiatives, including process definition, accounting and reporting metrics, inventory controls, cycle count program and metrics.
• Coordinate and prepare internal and external audit requirements.
• Ad-hoc reporting and requests as needed.
• Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required and 1-3 years’ experience preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working with multiple IT systems, such as MS Office and ERP systems. Syteline preferred.
• Able to analyze account and/or cost variances and provide meaningful explanations to management.
• Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, graphs and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, inventory and general ledger.
• Good organizational skills; able to manage workload and ensure deadlines are met.
• Desire to work in a production oriented, deadline-focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a close attention to detail.

Job Description
Under minimal supervision, the NDT L-II performs basic nondestructive testing to verify the structural integrity of metallic and/or nonmetallic structures, using radiography and FPI to perform inspections on aircraft parts and evaluate test results by analyzing and interpreting the data in accordance with customer requirements.

This position sits in our Warren, MI facility will report to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and implement customer requirements; such as: Engineering Drawings, Process Specifications and other industry standards. Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures. Understand manufacturing methods and part construction, as it relates to the NDT data.
• Operate X-ray equipment and interpret film
• Oversee and process OE & repair/overhaul hardware through FPI line and interpret results
• Perform process control checks and NDT related calibrations as necessary
• Identify and investigate new technologies, processes and/or procedures to maintain or improve NDT capabilities, efficiencies, etc.
• Interface with engineers, internal customers, manufacturing personnel and management to improve processes. Provide guidance, leadership and instruction to other NDT technicians.
• Integrate improvements to realize benefits in cost, cycle, and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Associate Degree of Applied Science in NDT - The classroom training for the applicable test method and level of certification needed must meet the minimum required per NAS-410
• 4 years work experience in the NDT method(s) and manufacturing processes as a certified Level 2 is required.
• Employee must have the skills and formal training needed to become certified to NAS 410 level 2 in radiography testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) and be able to pass an annual eye examination per the requirements of NAS 410.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of NDT theory, methods and procedures, and should have knowledge of NDT technologies, computer systems and conventional and automated testing systems.
• Make and keep precise measurements and keep accurate records.
• Must be able to take instructions and offer advice. The ability to work well with supervising engineers, other technicians, and mechanics is essential because technicians interact with people from other divisions, businesses, and customers.
• Experience applying principles of mathematics for analysis, design, and troubleshooting tasks in their work.
• Operating a personal computer with proficiency in related technical and specialized software. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, etc)

• Facility maintenance for CNC Precision Aerospace Manufacturer
• Machine maintenance and preventive maintenance for all equipment

• This position is almost 100% physical with some administrative duties
o Walking 90% Standing 10%: In general, standing while doing machine repairs and sitting while doing smaller bench repairs.
o Lifting: 10-15 pounds or less 50% of the time, up to 40 pounds occasionally. Hoist is used to move, position, and lift larger or heavier parts.
o Reaching: Frequent reaching across machines required at shoulder level or overhead.
o Repetitive Motion: generally not an issue; repetitive motion is minimal. Using hand tools, wrenches, screw drivers and power drill.
o Carrying/Lifting: Must be able to carry one-gallon containers of oil and lift over head to dump containers into machines.
o Must carry 5 gallon containers of hydraulic oil and lift waist high to dump into
machines. Must lift 5 gallon pales of coolant and add to machines daily/weekly
o Pushing/Pulling: Must pull motors and hydraulic units out of machines for repair. These can weigh 20 to 75 lbs. Must move/push/pull 55 gallon drums full of spent metal spent chips with a dolly. (50-100lbs)
o Occasionally pushing or pulling pallet jacks to move parts out of the way.
o Welding preventative maintenance requires pulling water cooling units out of welding equipment (full of 6 or 7 gallons of water). These units are 2 feet off the ground.
o Miscellaneous: Must have the ability to work on lifts to reach the ceiling overhead to change lights and run electrical wires (16 feet off the ground).
o Working around electricity requires a steady hand inside electrical cabinets(480volts)
o Must climb ladders frequently and daily. Must work on ladder for machine and facility maintenance.
o Significant bending and reaching around running machinery.
o Precision machine shop with high tolerances. Must have 20/25 vision in at least one eye.
o Sharp metal objects and metal chips from spent material are prevalent and must be handled daily.
o Winter requires occasional snow shoveling.
o Occasional painting with water and oil based paints.
o Other tasks as assigned.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the final inspection of aerospace jet engine components, as well as first piece and in-process inspection. Quality Inspectors uphold the safety policies of the company, and ensure our products meet MB Aerospace and customer requirements.
This position sits in our Sterling Heights, MI facility and will report to the Quality Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assures product quality and manufacturing accuracy by properly using inspection equipment
• Maintains product quality documentation by keeping accurate records and files; such as Material Certifications, First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102), Inspection Method Sheets (IMS), First Piece Inspection
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and geometrical tolerancing
• Has knowledge in the use of all types of standard inspection measurement equipment, such as micrometers, dial bore gauges, internal and external thread gauges, use of sine plates and indicators. Inspection process can involve use of various chemicals and solvents

• Facility maintenance for CNC Precision Aerospace Manufacturer

• This position is almost 100% physical with some administrative duties
o Walking 90% Standing 10%: In general, standing while doing machine repairs and sitting while doing smaller bench repairs.
o Lifting: 10-15 pounds or less 50% of the time, up to 40 pounds occasionally. Hoist is used to move, position, and lift larger or heavier parts.
o Reaching: Frequent reaching across machines required at shoulder level or overhead.
o Repetitive Motion: generally not an issue; repetitive motion is minimal. Using hand tools, wrenches, screw drivers and power drill.
o Carrying/Lifting: Must be able to carry one-gallon containers of oil and lift over head to dump containers into machines.
o Must carry 5 gallon containers of hydraulic oil and lift waist high to dump into
machines. Must lift 5 gallon pales of coolant and add to machines daily/weekly
o Pushing/Pulling: Must pull motors and hydraulic units out of machines for repair. These can weigh 20 to 75 lbs. Must move/push/pull 55 gallon drums full of spent metal spent chips with a dolly. (50-100lbs)
o Occasionally pushing or pulling pallet jacks to move parts out of the way.
o Welding preventative maintenance requires pulling water cooling units out of welding equipment (full of 6 or 7 gallons of water). These units are 2 feet off the ground.
o Miscellaneous: Must have the ability to work on lifts to reach the ceiling overhead to change lights and run electrical wires (16 feet off the ground).
o Working around electricity requires a steady hand inside electrical cabinets(480volts)
o Must climb ladders frequently and daily. Must work on ladder for machine and facility maintenance.
o Significant bending and reaching around running machinery.
o Precision machine shop with high tolerances. Must have 20/25 vision in at least one eye.
o Sharp metal objects and metal chips from spent material are prevalent and must be handled daily.
o Winter requires occasional snow shoveling.
o Occasional painting with water and oil based paints.

The basic function of the Welder position is to weld & fabricate Stainless Steel, Inconel, Cobalt, and Titanium Engine Components. Must have sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items to make minor modifications if necessary. May perform some trouble-shooting and rework of production items. Job description
The CNC Programmer’s (Programmer) main task is to Develop, implement and maintain processing and programming for NC/CNC machining operations for complex details and assembly configurations for gas turbine engine components by performing the following duties. Must possess the ability to troubleshoot programs on the shop floor and be comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Engineering Director.

Key Responsibilities:
• CNC Programmer who will use a cam software such as Edgecam or NX and Vericut to create CNC programs for vertical and horizontal CNC lathes and multi-axis CNC milling machines.
• Experience with Solidworks or similar cad software is a plus
• Duties include developing programs in a timely manner so as not to hold up production, specifying tooling, and resolving shop machining issues, and monitoring active jobs.
• Materials are high-technology aerospace materials including titanium, inconel and stainless steel.
• MB runs state-of-the-art equipment using Fanuc controls; milling machines have 5-axis capability.

Job Requirements:
• Associate's degree (A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing required. CNC machining experience and good computer aptitude and skills are vital qualifications. Edgecam, etc. and Vericut training is available for programmers familiar with other CAM software.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures
• A strong background in manufacturing-preferably aerospace and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
• Excellent communication skills are needed; both verbal and written. Must organized in the compiling of cost data to support quotations. The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools and be proficient in the use of CAD solid modeling software.
