Job Description
This position is responsible for processing and evaluating welded and machined components using the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method to MB Aerospace East Granby procedures along with customer specifications.

This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Process parts, document results and perform equipment standardization in accordance with written instructions approved by the Level 3.
• Conduct system performance checks per approved technique.
• Carry out any necessary preparation of parts before or after inspection.
• Shall be able to follow work instructions written or orally in accordance with the techniques and methods for which certified.
• Conduct tests, interpret and evaluate for acceptance and rejection and document results.
• Be fully aware of the scope and limitations of the technique/method for which they are certified.
• Be capable of providing the necessary guidance to Trainees and Level 1 personnel.
• Be familiar with the codes, standards and contractual documents that control methods used.
• Have a basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
• Be capable of performing visual inspection of parts using inspection equipment (borescopes, magnifiers, etc.)
• Be capable of performing hardness per customer specifications



Job Requirements
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required; An Associates is desirable
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in a Manufacturing environment
• 1-4 years of experience in the role is required; must be able to meet the requirements of NAS410 and have experience in the NDT function; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Authorized for FPI NDT level 1 required.
• X-Ray experience preferrable
• Authorized for FPI Level 2 preferred, FPI experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing
• Comfort working in a constantly changing environment; adaptability & flexibility are critical in this role
• Strong problem-solving skills; Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair, and preventive maintenance for all manufacturing “equipment”. Including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Perform general “building” maintenance tasks. Includes but is not limited to door hardware, panting, machine guarding, restroom fixtures, office relocations, lighting and basic electrical repairs/upgrades and plumbing - Highly diversified duties
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain and promote clean and orderly work areas.
• Participate in environmental, health and safety activities. Especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials, sampling, and waste disposal.
• Ability to report to the plant on off shift and respond to facilities equipment emergencies. As needed.
• Aid in the design of equipment – design and implement system improvements
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs whatever other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor or manager. May include snow removal, coolant replenishment, housekeeping, landscaping, cleaning up spills etc.




• This position is almost 100% physical with some administrative duties
o Walking 90% Standing 10%: In general, standing while doing machine repairs and sitting while doing smaller bench repairs.
o Lifting: 10-15 pounds or less 50% of the time, up to 40 pounds occasionally. Hoist is used to move, position, and lift larger or heavier parts.
o Reaching: Frequent reaching across machines required at shoulder level or overhead.
o Repetitive Motion: generally, not an issue; repetitive motion is minimal. Using hand tools, wrenches, screw drivers and power drill.
o Carrying/Lifting: Must be able to carry one-gallon containers of oil and lift over head to dump containers into machines.
o Must carry 5-gallon containers of hydraulic oil and lift waist high to dump into
machines. Must lift 5-gallon pales of coolant and add to machines daily/weekly
o Pushing/Pulling: Must pull motors and hydraulic units out of machines for repair. These can weigh 20 to 75 lbs. Must move/push/pull 55-gallon drums full of spent metal spent chips with a dolly. (50-100lbs)
o Occasionally pushing or pulling pallet jacks to move parts out of the way.
o Welding preventative maintenance requires pulling water cooling units out of welding equipment (full of 6 or 7 gallons of water). These units are 2 feet off the ground.
o Miscellaneous: Must have the ability to work on lifts to reach the ceiling overhead to change lights and run electrical wires (16 feet off the ground).
o Must climb ladders frequently and daily. Must work on ladder for machine and facility maintenance.
o Significant bending and reaching around running machinery.
o Precision machine shop with high tolerances. Must have 20/25 vision in at least one eye.
o Sharp metal objects and metal chips from spent material are prevalent and must be handled daily.
o Winter requires occasional snow shoveling.
o Occasional painting with water and oil-based paints.
o Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience working as a maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing facility. Qualified candidates must have industrial maintenance experience, must have machine tool knowledge, and must be able to work on motors, gear boxes, pumps, and complex machinery.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic. electronic troubleshooting skills required
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend work instructions and read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices OSHA 10

Job Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for the final inspection of aerospace jet engine components, as well as first piece and in-process inspection. Quality Inspectors uphold the safety policies of the company, and ensure our products meet MB Aerospace and customer requirements.
This position sits in our Sterling Heights, MI facility and will report to the Quality Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assures product quality and manufacturing accuracy by properly using inspection equipment
• Maintains product quality documentation by keeping accurate records and files; such as Material Certifications, First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102), Inspection Method Sheets (IMS), First Piece Inspection
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and geometrical tolerancing
• Has knowledge in the use of all types of standard inspection measurement equipment, such as micrometers, dial bore gauges, internal and external thread gauges, use of sine plates and indicators. Inspection process can involve use of various chemicals and solvents
• Contributes to cost-effective operations by troubleshooting equipment and makes recommendations for new or replacement parts and/or equipment

Job Requirements

• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• CMM experience and/or DQR qualifications preferred

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems to provide quality control, quality assurance and process control systems to support internal and external (customer) requirements.
• Train employees, as required, in various quality control, SPC, quality assurance, auditing and the use of required documentation.
• Perform product, process, and system audits and verifies effectiveness or corrective actions that were taken.
• Active as a leader or team member in corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform closed-looped corrective action and root cause analysis.
• Coordinates and documents employee-training activities. Various program/project management assignments to promote continuous improvement of company systems and products.
• Develop control plans, FMEA’s and other Quality Planning documents.
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Coordinates failure analysis on discrepant product returned by the Customer and ensures that cause and corrective action is implemented and effective.
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for timely disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
• Reviews Manufacturing Operation Sheets, as required, to ensure manufacturing processes, machining methods and sequence changes have no adverse effect on quality or violates contractual requirements.
• Represents quality assurance on new product start-up teams. Identifies any unique customer requirements for workmanship or traceability.
• Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline required and 5+ years in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing
• Skilled at various computer software applications required for the development and use of programs in support of SPC, program management and other similar activities.
• Possesses interpersonal skills that allow for successful interaction with various employees, including acting in leadership roles on teams and other projects.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Knowledge or experience with FAA regulatory requirements, ISO9000:2000, AS9100 Quality Systems, ISO17025, NADCAP.
• Experience performing internal and supplier audits.
• Experience in the use of statistical methods for process control, capability analysis and gage R&R studies.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and assist company personnel in all aspects of environmental, health and safety. Serve as chairperson for the safety committee with local compliance requirements
• Coordinate site wide EH&S council with management team to ensure conformance with MB Aerospace Corporate Policies, Federal, State and Local regulations.
• Build relationships with all levels of the organization to ensure a cross-functional safety culture.
• Conduct root cause corrective action investigations in conjunction with applicable personnel. Notify top management of pertinent details.
• Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs.
• Assist all company personnel in an effort to help them understand OSHA regulations and standards, including guidance on how to handle OSHA compliance, inspections, and citations.
• Review company accident statistics and makes recommendations based on data.
• Plan and direct safety and industrial hygiene services and monitor required testing.
• Work with environmental compliance and professional organizations to maintain current permits, certifications and records.
• Assess new developments in the environmental, health and safety field that may have application to the company's operations.
• Complete Hazwopper and RCRA compliance training and certification.
• Ensure all EH&S training is complete and current such as, but not limited to, first aid, respirator and first responder.
• Establish and maintain KPI’s for long-range incident prevention in the areas of environmental, health and safety.
• Maintain OSHA log with input from the Human Resources Manager.
• Institute an internal audit and compliance program to measure the effectiveness of the EH&S management system.
• Manage sub-contracted environmental engineering firm to budget levels, insource activities where appropriate.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or similar relevant field
• Previous working experience as Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator for 3-5 years
• In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and/or Environmental policy
• Hands-on experience with performing audits and writing reports
• Excellent organizational time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• ASP, CSP or CIH certification or ability to obtain is preferred
• Read and interpret processes, procedures, and governmental regulations, write reports, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and compliance agencies.
