Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for assisting in all facets of financial operations, including the monthly close cycle, financial reporting standards, internal controls, accuracy of General Ledger and Analysis.

This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Finance Controller.

Key Responsibilities
• Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Assists with preparation and submission of company payrolls.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
• Be familiar with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Monitor and implement all accounts payable check activation and wire transactions.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions by working with accounting staff at other MB facilities.
• Analyze costs and determine proper classification of fixed assets based on company capitalization policies.
• Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required and 1-3 years’ experience preferably in a Manufacturing environment or special combination of education, experience, and accomplishments.
• Comfortable working with multiple IT systems, such as MS Office and ERP systems.
• Able to analyze account and/or cost variances and provide meaningful explanations to management.
• Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, graphs and data analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
• Strong knowledge of cost management, inventory and general ledger.
• Good organizational skills; able to manage workload and ensure deadlines are met.
• Desire to work in a production oriented, deadline-focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a close attention to detail.
• Must be independent, possess ingenuity and have strong work ethic.
• Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast pace environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Job Description
As a member of our team, you will deburr, prep, and install sheet metal products and parts. This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Fabrication Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, micrometers, Vernier, calipers, etc.
• Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance
• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal
• Fasten details on aircraft and industrial engine components using rivets, fasteners, bolts, etc.
• Willingness to learn and operate support equipment such as clean line, grit blast, press, furnace and EDM (Bolt Removal)

Job Requirements
• 1-4 years of sheet metal, shop assembly experience
• Subject to FAA Screening
• Ability to cross train to support all areas of Sheet Metal Assembly
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

Job Description
Responsible for tapping holes, performing assembly operations, and removing sharp edges, raised metal and surface imperfections generated from various machining operations on a variety of materials to achieve surface finish as required by customer specifications utilizing various hand tools such as pneumatic die grinders, files and other related equipment by performing the following duties:
Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece and sequence of operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate all deburring equipment required in the performance of the position.
• Ability to achieve the required edge break and/or radius as required by work instructions.
• Knowledge of deburring media and the selection of the proper type as defined by the work instructions.

Job Description
Shipping/Receiving Clerk who is able to work in a fast paced environment, must have some computer skills, be able to drive Company van, forklift, and electric pallet jack, be available to work a 50 to 60 hour week packing and securing shipments.

This position sits in Sterling Heights, MI and will report to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Be able to drive a fork lift and/or any type of material handling equipment safely and follow dock safety procedures.
• Receive inbound material and prepare shipments which includes physical preparation of product to be unloaded/shipped (repackaging, banding, and loading/unloading material on/off trailers) and shipping/receiving documents using Syteline (Bill of lading, packing list, scanners, bar code labelling).
• Follow all company EHS policies and procedures.
• Ensure truck drivers are following company EHS procedures as well as all suppliers and visitors.
• Update finished goods layout matrix.
• Receive raw material and put into storage using forklift and follow FIFO procedures.
• Ensure that raw material is in correct storage area.
• Update raw material inventory layout matrix on shared server drive.
• Keep filing system for both receipt and shipment documentation.

Job Description
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and activities for industrial processes, materials, and products to assure that customer expectations are met or exceeded while maintaining an acceptable cost level.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain systems to provide quality control, quality assurance and process control systems to support internal and external (customer) requirements.
• Train employees, as required, in various quality control, SPC, quality assurance, auditing and the use of required documentation. Engage with repair personnel, including training, qualification to repair processes.
• Perform product, process, and system audits and verifies effectiveness or corrective actions that were taken.
• Active as a leader or team member in corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform closed-looped corrective action and root cause analysis.
• Coordinates and documents employee-training activities. Various program/project management assignments to promote continuous improvement of company systems and products.
• Review engineering specifications, orders, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and related information to maintain current knowledge of repair and overhaul methods, procedures, and activities.
• Ensuring article is listed on a current capability list.
• Ensuring maintenance or alteration is performed in accordance with the applicable approved technical data or data acceptable to the FAA.
• Ensuring technical data used for maintaining articles is appropriate and current.
• Act as lead auditor for any FAA / EASA related audits as well as Overhaul and Repair Customer audits.
• Manage Repair Station supplier non-conformances.
• Serve as the primary contact between the Repair Station and the FAA / other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with the Repair Station Manual as well as EASA supplement.
• Perform and oversee incoming inspection of FAA parts.
• Perform and oversee final inspection and Certification of Air Worthiness; sign off on final inspections and certifications. Primary responsible for Return to Service.
• Develop control plans, FMEA’s and other Quality Planning documents.
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Coordinates failure analysis on discrepant product returned by the Customer and ensures that cause and corrective action is implemented and effective.
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for timely disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
• Reviews Manufacturing Operation Sheets, as required, to ensure manufacturing processes, machining methods and sequence changes have no adverse effect on quality or violates contractual requirements.
• Represents quality assurance on new product start-up teams. Identifies any unique customer requirements for workmanship or traceability.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to MB Aerospace’s internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies

Job Requirements
• Five or more years’ experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or engineering, preferably in an aerospace environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or formal education and training to perform statistical calculations, process capability studies, and data analysis, including knowledge of math, statistics, blueprint reading and an understanding of GD&T.
• Skilled at various computer software applications required for the development and use of programs in support of SPC, program management and other similar activities.
• Possesses interpersonal skills that allow for successful interaction with various employees, including acting in leadership roles on teams and other projects.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Knowledge or experience with FAA regulatory requirements, ISO9000:2000, AS9100 Quality Systems, ISO17025, NADCAP.
• Experience performing internal and supplier audits.
• Experience in the use of statistical methods for process control, capability analysis and gage R&R studies.
• Thoroughly familiar with the applicable 14CFR 145 regulations and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations are being performed.
• Understand, read, and write English.
• Team player with the skills to work with people at all levels in a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Current certified Repairmen or previous experience is a plus.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced motivated individual to fill a role as a CNC Machinist. Candidates must be experienced in reading and interpreting customer blueprints, customer specifications, internal operation process sheets, and working with precision measuring tools. Aerospace background strongly preferred. Part size ranges from 30 inches to approx. 70 inches in diameter. Parts are both military and commercial.
This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Machining Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Ability to run 3, 4 and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines
• Must be willing to run multiple machines simultaneously where possible/feasible as most machines are part of manufacturing cells/machining centers
• Ability to work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel
• Ability to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets
• Must be proficient in mathematics and be able to use a calculator
• Ability to use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program
• Ability to load part onto a fixture
• Ability to load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine
• Ability to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine
• Must be able to read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers
• Familiarity with operation of Right-Angle Heads
• Must have Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledge
• Must possess the ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths

Job Requirements
• 5+ years’ operating CNC Machinery in a manufacturing environment-preferably Aerospace
• Experience working with major aerospace OEMs (Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Rolls Royce, etc..)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk up a few stairs on machine platforms to access machines
• Team player with the skills to work with people at all levels in a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Job Description
This position will perform facility and daily machine maintenance duties as directed. The right candidate will be on the shop floor daily and will be in a physical hands on role.

This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Maintenance Foreman.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility maintenance for CNC Precision Aerospace Manufacturer
• Daily and preventive maintenance for all equipment
• Maintain coolant tanks levels on equipment
• Maintain pneumatic air lines
• Assist with equipment repairs and equipment relocations
• This position is almost 100% physical with some administrative duties
o Walking 90% Standing 10%: In general, standing while doing machine maintenance and sitting while doing smaller bench repairs.
o Lifting: 25 pounds or less 50% of the time, up to 40 pounds occasionally. Hoist is used to move, position, and lift larger or heavier parts.
o Reaching: Frequent reaching across machines required at shoulder level or overhead.
o Repetitive Motion: generally not an issue; repetitive motion is minimal. Using hand tools, wrenches, screw drivers and power drill.
o Carrying/Lifting: Must be able to carry one-gallon containers of oil and lift over head to dump containers into machines.
o Must carry 5 gallon containers of hydraulic oil and lift waist high to dump into
machines. Must lift 5 gallon pales of coolant and add to machines daily
o Must move/push/pull 55 gallon drums full of spent metal spent chips with a dolly or pallet jack. (50-100lbs)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to fill a role as the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator/ Final Inspector. Candidates must be experienced in reading and interpreting customer blueprints, customer specifications, internal operation process sheets, and working with CAD models. PCDMIS experience is required.

This position sits in Sterling Heights, MI and will report to the Quality Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CMMs to support first article inspection, first/ last piece inspection, dimensional verification, etc
• Manually inspecting parts and fixtures with CMM and standard hand gaging
• Working with CMM programmer to troubleshoot program issues and ensure programs are ready for production
• Performing CMM program correlation studies per customer and industry specifications
• Training Inspectors on basic operation of CMM as needed
• Proving out new programs on CMM during initial product run

As a Repair Cell Quality Technician, you will be responsible for assuring all customer and company quality expectations are being satisfied. Key Responsibilities

• Receiving inspection and creation of inspection reports of engine run components for Engineering and customer evaluation.
• Final Inspection and certification of repaired aerospace/ industrial ground turbine engine parts and components.
• Assist Manufacturing/ Quality Engineering to develop comprehensive inspection plans to ensure repair requirements are met and parts are serviceable.
• Interpret operation sheets, blue prints, and customer specifications to understand customer requirements.
• Document nonconformities including rework and scrap per MB Aerospace internal procedures.
• Assist Quality Engineering in the completion of AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Review material and process certifications to ensure compliance to repair criteria.
• Perform in process inspections within Manufacturing line to meet first piece setup requirements.

• Train, test, and certify as a FPI Level 2 and perform FPI inspections as required.
• Assist in controlling Repair Cell detail inventory.
• Assist with minor Manufacturing operations such as dis-assembly, cleaning, etc.
• Perform in process and final inspections on OEM production parts and assemblies as needed.
• Ensure adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associates in a related field is ideal.
• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace industry or general manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Experience performing inspections of repaired turbine assemblies is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools.

A Press Operator, or Machine Press Operator, runs computer-controlled machines that cut, shape and design various materials. • Facility maintenance for CNC Precision Aerospace Manufacturer

• This position is almost 100% physical with some administrative duties

o Lifting: 10-15 pounds or less 50% of the time, up to 40 pounds occasionally. Hoist is used to move, position, and lift larger or heavier parts.
o Reaching: Frequent reaching across machines required at shoulder level or overhead.
o Repetitive Motion: generally not an issue; repetitive motion is minimal. Using hand tools, wrenches, screw drivers and power drill.
o Carrying/Lifting: Must be able to carry one-gallon containers of oil and lift over head to dump containers into machines.
o Must carry 5 gallon containers of hydraulic oil and lift waist high to dump into
machines. Must lift 5 gallon pales of coolant and add to machines daily/weekly
o Pushing/Pulling: Must pull motors and hydraulic units out of machines for repair. These can weigh 20 to 75 lbs. Must move/push/pull 55 gallon drums full of spent metal spent chips with a dolly. (50-100lbs)
o Occasionally pushing or pulling pallet jacks to move parts out of the way.
o Welding preventative maintenance requires pulling water cooling units out of welding equipment (full of 6 or 7 gallons of water). These units are 2 feet off the ground.
o Miscellaneous: Must have the ability to work on lifts to reach the ceiling overhead to change lights and run electrical wires (16 feet off the ground).
o Working around electricity requires a steady hand inside electrical cabinets(480volts)
o Must climb ladders frequently and daily. Must work on ladder for machine and facility maintenance.
o Significant bending and reaching around running machinery.
o Precision machine shop with high tolerances. Must have 20/25 vision in at least one eye.
o Sharp metal objects and metal chips from spent material are prevalent and must be handled daily.
o Winter requires occasional snow shoveling.
o Occasional painting with water and oil based paints.
o Other tasks as assigned.
