Job description
MB Aerospace is currently recruiting for a IT Applications Analyst in our East Granby, CT office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Specialist to take on a key role that will help shape MB Aerospace’s Digital, Data & Technology offering and solutions, working with our internal teams to support project and program delivery, data guardianship and information use across a global business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working with ERP generated data and utilizing technology solutions using SQL, SSRS, SSIS, the Microsoft Office 365 Power Platform and other Microsoft Office 365 Applications (e.g. PowerApps, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate…etc.) to improve data capture, storage, rationalization, analysis, reporting & visualization capabilities for the organization
• Custom development and modifications to ERP systems and processes to support specific business requirements.
• Play a key role in developing our Digitization process, delivering the goal of helping departments turn data into useful information to form the basis of decisions
• Provide a technical point of contact for internal staff, supporting their digital delivery requirements, providing expert advice and increasing value add and new business opportunities
• Taking responsibility for delivery of products and solutions to budget, time and scope with excellent customer care and satisfaction outcomes.
Job Requirements:
• Technology or data focused degree (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and business processes
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft SQL operations, especially with developing static and live reporting solutions from SQL data using SSRS, SSIS, and related tools

Job Description
The VP of NPI Engineering will be responsible for providing global NPI leadership across 9 business units and will direct and coordinates activities of teams of engineering personnel designing and developing manufacturing processes, programing, and tooling for a range of projects. This role will be accountable for ensuring technical support in estimating and launching new programs (NPI) and measuring and improving existing programs within the business continuous improvement program.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) to meet program timescales and financial budgets.
• Optimize process capability to drive improvements in yield and margins.
• Review and evaluate product requests from customers and formulate conceptual designs to meet customers' requirements.
• Cost Estimating on new opportunities.
• Develop the skills and capabilities of the manufacturing engineering team to comply with customer and business requirements.
• Develop capable processes and standard work within manufacturing engineering and manufacturing operations and ensure compliance.
• Interface with customer representatives and internal personnel concerned with technical developments, scheduling, or manufacturing for resolution of problems or engineering issues as required.

Job Requirements

NDT X-Ray Technician

Job Description
Under minimal supervision, the NDT L-II performs basic nondestructive testing to verify the structural integrity of metallic and/or nonmetallic structures, using radiography to perform inspections on aircraft parts and evaluate test results by analyzing and interpreting the data in accordance with customer requirements.

This position sits in our Warren, MI facility will report to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment and interpret film
• Review and implement customer requirements; such as: Engineering Drawings, Process Specifications and other industry standards.
• Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures. Understand manufacturing methods and part construction, as it relates to the NDT data.
• Oversee and process OE & repair/overhaul hardware through X-Ray line and interpret results
• Perform process control checks and NDT related calibrations as necessary
• Interface with engineers, internal customers, manufacturing personnel and management to improve processes. Provide guidance, leadership and instruction to other NDT technicians.
• Integrate improvements to realize benefits in cost, cycle, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other assignments and tasks as directed.
• Ensure adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

Job Requirements

• 4 years work experience in the NDT method(s) and manufacturing processes as a certified Level 2 is required.
• Employee must have the skills and formal training needed to become certified to NAS 410 level 2 in radiography testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) and be able to pass an annual eye examination per the requirements of NAS 410.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of NDT theory, methods and procedures, and should have knowledge of NDT technologies, computer systems and conventional and automated testing systems.
• Make and keep precise measurements and keep accurate records.
• Must be able to take instructions and offer advice. The ability to work well with supervising engineers, other technicians, and mechanics is essential because technicians interact with people from other divisions, businesses, and customers.
• Experience applying principles of mathematics for analysis, design, and troubleshooting tasks in their work.
• Operating a personal computer with proficiency in related technical and specialized software. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, etc)
• Must comply with ITAR regulations and site SSA requirements.

Job Description
The Quality Manager-Michigan is the Quality Leader for the two MBA sites in Sterling Heights and Warren Michigan and manages all operational quality functions including: Internal/External Audit, Inspection, CMM Programming, Gauge Crib and NDT. The Quality Manager will be responsible for driving quality culture and metrics to improve quality performance and meet customer requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager will be the Quality Engineers, NDT Department, Gauge Technicians, CMM Inspection & Programming and the Final Inspection department.

This position sits in both Warren and Sterling Heights, MI and will report to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop strategy and action plans to drive metrics for the Quality Department. Metrics include but not limited to: RFT @ inspection, Customer Escapes, Supplier Escapes & First Piece Approval turn times.
• Maintain AS9100 Certification & NADCAP Certification
• Manage external customer audits
• Develop plan to reduce Customer Escape (nonconformance) Concerns
• Manage MRB (Material Review Board) incoming and outgoing. Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action as required
• Ensure First Article Inspections are performed efficiently for all current part number & NPI
• Support the management of overtime, work schedules and DWI in the quality operations cell
• Establish and maintain KPI’s for inspection/NDT processes.
• Conduct root cause corrective action investigations in conjunction with applicable personnel for any inspection/NDT turn backs
• Manage Customer Scorecard Information for accuracy with the customer
• Actively support CI activity and drive improvements in the facility
• Work with CI manager to eliminate work stoppages caused by Quality related non-conformances
• Present information as required to Quality Council and Monthly Management meeting as appropriate
• Network with Quality Aviation Professionals inside MB and within the CT/MA area to broaden understanding of best practices in the industry
• Ensures adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations.

Job description

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced motivated individual to fill a role as a CNC Machinist. Candidates must be experienced in reading and interpreting customer blueprints, customer specifications, internal operation process sheets, and working with precision measuring tools. Aerospace background strongly preferred. Part size ranges from 30 inches to approx. 70 inches in diameter. Parts are both military and commercial.
This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Machining Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to run 3, 4 and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines
• Must be willing to run multiple machines simultaneously where possible/feasible as most machines are part of manufacturing cells/machining centers
• Ability to work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel
• Ability to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets
• Must be proficient in mathematics and be able to use a calculator
• Ability to use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program
• Ability to load part onto a fixture
• Ability to load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine
• Ability to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine
• Must be able to read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers
• Familiarity with operation of Right Angle Heads
• Must have Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledge
• Must possess the ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths
• Other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.

Job Requirements
• 5+ years operating CNC Machinery in a manufacturing environment-preferably Aerospace
• Experience working with major aerospace OEMs (Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Rolls Royce, etc..)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk up a few stairs on machine platforms to access machines
• Team player with the skills to work with people at all levels in a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Job Description
As a Repair Cell Quality Technician, you will be responsible for assuring all customer and company quality expectations are being satisfied. You will support and lead consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good quality measures; supporting lean manufacturing practices; validating processes; providing documentation; auditing products and auditing product. Repair Cell Quality Technicians must be meticulous in their work, skilled in quality processes and statistical techniques, and knowledgeable about measurement and test equipment. Attention to detail and an aptitude for working with data are pluses, and a solid grasp of basic engineering concepts is helpful. Interpersonal and communication skills are also crucial to work with all business units effectively.

This position sits in our East Granby, CT facility will report to the Repair Cell Quality Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving inspection and creation of inspection reports of engine run components for Engineering and customer evaluation.
• Final Inspection and certification of repaired aerospace/ industrial ground turbine engine parts and components.
• Assist Manufacturing/ Quality Engineering to develop comprehensive inspection plans to ensure repair requirements are met and parts are serviceable.
• Interpret operation sheets, blue prints, and customer specifications to understand customer requirements.
• Document nonconformities including rework and scrap per MB Aerospace internal procedures.
• Assist Quality Engineering in the completion of AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Review material and process certifications to ensure compliance to repair criteria.
• Perform in process inspections within Manufacturing line to meet first piece setup requirements.
• Monitor and report systemic nonconformities to Engineering and Repair Cell leadership.
• Train, test, and certify as a FPI Level 2 and perform FPI inspections as required.
• Assist in controlling Repair Cell detail inventory.
• Assist with minor Manufacturing operations such as dis-assembly, cleaning, etc.
• Perform in process and final inspections on OEM production parts and assemblies as needed.
• Ensure adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associates in a related field is ideal.
• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace industry or general manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Experience performing inspections of repaired turbine assemblies is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools.
• Must possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
• Operating a personal computer with proficiency in related technical and specialized software. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, etc)

Job Description
As a member of our team, you will deburr, prep, and install sheet metal products and parts. This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Fabrication Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, micrometers, Vernier, calipers, etc.
• Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance
• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal
• Fasten details on aircraft and industrial engine components using rivets, fasteners, bolts, etc.
• Willingness to learn and operate support equipment such as clean line, grit blast, press, furnace and EDM (Bolt Removal)

Job Requirements
• 1-4 years of sheet metal, shop assembly experience
• Subject to FAA Screening
• Ability to cross train to support all areas of Sheet Metal Assembly
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

Experienced with ERP systems is a must. Part size ranges up to 70 inches in diameter. Parts are both military and commercial.
This position sits in East Granby, CT and will report to the Master Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain all aspects of accurate inventory levels of components, and assemblies (labelling / kitting/ identifying / placing in stock locations / picking for kit’s
• Create kits and maintain lot tracking
• Store product in designated areas
• Maintain lot traceability by for all components and assemblies in inventory as well as issued to production
• Make corrections to issued orders
• Identify low levels of inventory
• Responsible for cycle counting and accuracy
• Ability to work with and knowledge of manufacturing systems, including work orders, inventory control, bills of material, (MRP / ERP)
• Establish excellent communication with planners and supervisors to prevent disruption in production
• Continuous analysis of stock levels and Work in Process

Job Requirements

Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for implementing manufacturing improvements including process review, identifying and implementing value-added projects in the areas of process control and optimization.
